山城重庆 Mountain city- Chongqing

重庆，是中国西南地区的重要城市之一，并且是五大中心城市之一。从行政管理角度来看，它也是中国四大直辖市之一。

Chongqing (Chinese: 重庆), formerly transliterated as Chungking, is a major city in Southwest China and one of the Five national central cities in China. Administratively, it is one of China's four direct-controlled municipalities.

重庆又被称为山城，因为它幅员辽阔，有着纵横交错的河流和山脉。其北部，东部，南部分别分布着大巴山，巫山，武陵山和大娄山。

Chongqing is also known as the mountain city, because it covers a large area crisscrossed by rivers and mountains. The Daba Mountains stand in the north, the Wu Mountains in the east, the Wuling Mountains in the southeast, and the Dalou Mountains in the south.

重庆饮食以麻辣的川菜为主。川菜特点是大量使用辣椒，原材料新颖，菜品富于创新。重庆最有名的是重庆火锅。 重庆是火锅的发源地之一，并对火锅这种饮食文化影响较大。2007年3月，重庆市荣获中国烹饪协会授予“中国火锅之都”称号。

The famous cuisine in Chongqing is Chongqing hot pot. Chongqing is one of the cradles of the hot pot. Chongqing hot pot Is characterized by extensive use of chili, abundant raw materials and creativity. In March 2007, Chongqing won the "Chinese hot pot city" title by award of the China cuisine association.

 

洪崖洞作为重庆市的一座旧城门，毗邻嘉临江，始建于宋代，是重庆最受欢迎的景点之一。瓷器口，作为一个重要的水路码头，则是重庆主城区内少有的能领略老重庆风味的地方，因此又得名“小重庆”。

Hongyadong is one of the most popular attractions in Chongqing as an old city gate of Chongqing. It was built in the Song dynasty and is near to Jia river. Ciqikou is another worthy attraction to go in Chongqing as an very important wharf since Qing dynasty. It is the unwonted  place that people can appreciate the 'old Chongqing' feelings; so people call it ' small Chongqing'.
